1. Introduction

Shipping Tags ("the App", "we", "us") is a Shopify application that automatically classifies and tags your orders based on their shipping destination. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

When you install the App, we collect and store:

• Shop domain – to identify your store and associate settings with it.
• Shopify access token – to read and update your orders on your behalf. Stored encrypted in our database.
• Order shipping addresses – read at the time of tagging to classify orders. We do not persistently store individual order addresses.
• App settings – your customized tag labels and auto-tagging preferences.
• Order tagging count – to enforce free-tier limits and billing.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data solely to provide the App's functionality:

• Classifying orders by shipping method and applying tags.
• Storing your tag label and automation preferences.
• Managing billing and plan limits.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a secured PostgreSQL database hosted on a private server. Access tokens are stored as-is in the database and are only used to authenticate API calls to Shopify on your behalf.

5. Data Retention

When you uninstall the App, your session data and access token are deleted automatically via Shopify's app/uninstalled webhook. Your settings data (tag labels, preferences) is retained for 30 days to allow easy reinstallation. You may request immediate deletion by contacting us.

6. Third-Party Services

The App interacts exclusively with the Shopify API using the permissions you grant during installation (read_orders, write_orders). No other third-party services receive your data.
